Well. Here is a pro tip. If you have a fraction that doesn't give a clear number. Or if the number it gives is just to long. Leave it as a fraction.

if a = 5 / 11 then
a = 5 / 11 = 5 / (10 + 1) = 1 / (2 + 1 / 5)
(2 + 1 / 5) a = 1
2 a + 1 / 5 a = 1
2 a = 1 - 1 / 5 a
a = 1 / 2 - 1 / 10 a --> recursive form.
Expand recursive form:
a = 1 / 2 - 1 / 10 (1 / 2 - 1 / 10 a)
a = 1 / 2 - 1 / 20 + 1 / 100 a.
Substitute a = 1 / 2 - 1 / 10 a again:
a = 1 / 2 - 1 / 20 + 1 / 100 (1 / 2 - 1 / 10 a)
a = 1 / 2 - 1 / 20 + 1 / 200 - 1 / 1000 a.
If we substitue a = 1 / 2 - 1 / 10 a infinite times then we get
a = 1 / 2 - 1 / 20 + 1 / 200 - 1 / 2000 - ....
a = 0.5 - 0.05 + 0.005 - 0.0005 - ...
a = 0.4545...

A easiest trick
Question= 2/5 into decimal
Solution
Formula= numerater ÷ denominator
= 2÷5= 0.4
Answer= 2/5 into decimal = 0.4

I'm sorry but this is not good. This is an algorithm that can be mindlessly followed. Students should learn the fundamentals and then understand why patterns like this work. No point in giving tricks without understanding the reason.
