What it takes to be a Flight Nurse.

Air Methods crews are some of the best in the air medical business today. As highly-trained professional medical personnel, our staff has an enormous obligation to our patients and their families—not only to assess the nature and extent of a patient's illness and injury and prioritize care needed, but also to assure
safety remains the highest priority throughout the transport continuum.

I live in Pittsburgh, Pa. and am in sheer awe of the Life Flight crews that serve our community through Allegheny Health Network ( Allegheny General Hospital), When I get the honor of thanking them for their dedication, knowledge and skills, they usually humbly reply, " I'm just doing my job" but seriously folks, where would we as a society be without police officers, fire fighters, doctors, nurses and yes, medical flight crews?,  I don't even want to imagine the chaos! God bless our urban heroes.

It not about How High We Fly, It's about Why We Fly, Because your life matters to us.

LMAO- its a business and a business only thanks to Air Methods. $45, 000 plus for a flight, single engine aircraft, crews with 3 years experience and a whole lot of smashed aircraft along the way. Worked in it for 22 years and got out as the craziness started. Its a joke now.

“I just finished my masters degree in family nurse practitioner”. So did you finish your bachelor of science in nurse? Do you know anyone with a bachelor of arts in computer engineer? How about an associates of science in welder?

I swear, people using a noun in place of a adjective drives me nuts. It makes you sound like you failed elementary reading and writing.
