Huge respects hands down.
I remember I was on a flight from Istanbul to San Francisco and my seat was near the kitchen and we would hang around in the back and chat with the crew while we sip coffee.😊

This was what was called The Galley Queen. You don’t mess with them. ( Retired flight attendant)

Just like working in the belly of the DC-10 back in the day. I loved bidding that position as I would change into my sneakers, crank the radio up and work next to the hot ovens sending carts up to the main cabin on the lifts. Those were the glory days. 1970s-1980s.

I loooved being a galley operator❤ I was with Lufthansa and this was the position on board which was loathed by the majority of crew, but I loved it❤❤😂
