I worked at a hotel as a housekeeper and this is a valid concern. We have a LOT of instances where people sneak into rooms after people leave or after we clean them. We had to call the cops numerous times because of that. Also, even in the very clean hotel I worked in with bed bug measures and protectors on the bed, yes… they happen a lot. 🤢

Ok, bed bugs are a legitimate concern, but where the fuck is the airline putting her at night that she feels the need to check in between the curtains and in cupboards that wouldn’t even fit a small child let alone a person that would prove any risk?

When the room is checked, go out in the hallway and count the doors to the nearest emergancy exit!
Comes in handy in case of a fire where there’s a lot of smoke.

I stayed in a extended stay for 4 months before I moved out of Orlando. My second night there I just finished moving some stuff up, had my window open. Accidentally fell asleep for a little. I heard a knock on the door, thinking it may of just been a car door. 30 seconds later, someone’s trying to climb thur my window.

I would never leave my door propped open with my stuff😭😭😭 in my exp, that's how you get your stuff stolen OR PEOPLE JUST WALKING IN THERE, they're bold af for no good reason!!!!

Hotel housekeeper here: bed bugs are in fact VERY common in hotels, but it depends on the hotel on how the staff deals with them. Where I work the measures are very strict so that they don't spread to other rooms, which is good. However here's some ways how to find beg bugs in your room:

1. SHEETS - Most common way to find bed bugs is small blood stains on your bed. Not big stains that look like period or nosebleed stains but very small red dots on your sheets.

2. The floor - Are there small black dots on the floor? Are they under the bed or do they look unnatural? Most likely bedbugs

3. Under the bed - You can flip the bed to see the frame if there are black dots in there or something that looks like small eggs. This is usually the dealbreaker that there are bedbugs in the room.
