Certified welder here, your amperage is your wire speed. The voltage, is voltage pressure. The voltage is what makes the arc jump the gap, the higher, the voltage, the more pressure, pushing the arc across the gap. This is why when your voltage is turned up it looks like you get a hotter weld because the ark is impacting the weld pool, harder, therefore flattening it out. The wire speed is your amperage! It’s too bad for the welding trade that so many people think the voltage is your heat. Look up videos on electrical voltage pressure and you will see I’m right. You can thank me later I’ve been watching YouTube videos for over 15 years seeing everyone not understand this. Watching your video you seemed like such a nice guy. I broke my silence I said to myself this guy deserves to know the truth.Lol.

There IS a product called "Fantastic". It was a Spray cleaner. And if you sprayed it on the metal before welding, , the splatter would run off. Yeah, It worked. AND, , it is a LOT cheaper too.

Recommended volts and wire speed are more of a guide line - every welder is different because of type of gas, what shape your consumables are in, etc

I have my wire feed way down to mig like tig. It does amazing. But the splatter is a lot. I tried lowering wire speed and it doesn’t get better.

more welding less talking.
most welders are cavemen, we need visuals..

Hi Andy. I am a piss poor welder. I really don't do it enough. But every time I do weld it looks terrible. I weld gassless and flux core. I use the gas when I am welding sheet metal 16 or 18 gauge. I have lots of spatter when welding flux core on heavy metal. I sure could use your help. I subbed your channel so I can learn. Thanks for sharing.

Can arc-blow occur from a really loose ground clamp? Or is it just the distance?

Thanks Andy as for a guide on your machine, have you looked at a 130 from static arc I does not even give you numbers on the wire speed or voltage
Thanks for the tip on reducing wire speed I will give it a go

Can I ask you a question for making a faraday cage I have to do alot of vertical and overhead welding indoors... Should I do TIG with a slider amp control, or try to go with MIG indoors. Its just sheet metal and I can grab a fiberglass welding blanket to protect the floor and walls. Hope I can ventilate with a big fan.

Spraying anti splatter on the workpiece doesn't weaken the weld?

some Machines adjustments settings are by volts some machine are by amps (cheaper Machines)what's the difference, why two ways to adjust the power

I couldn't understand what you said between "come on over to" and ".com." What did you say?

Idk what to do, my Miller has been spraying molten rain in my jacket, my face it, it’s constantly raining sparks in my welding helmet. It destroyed my welding respirator filter twice now. Is this normal? The sparks just keep barely missing my eyeball. Smh. Any help please

I am restoring a car, lots of sheet metal repair. There is no better way to learn to weld than thin metal. To long and you burn thru, to short and it wont weld together. I also found out how to use the leftover metal from replacement metal to make small patches.
I started with the floor pan patches, there are so many contors you are forced to learn how to massage and fit metal. When i finally got to replacing a quarter panel that of course does not fit perfect, and had to cut and patch as needed. Sure i have welded bigger lineal shape metal, but thin metal is a the real learning curve.

How about galvanized parts ? I had a bad time welding galvanized plates. It came out horrible, very poor penetration.
