Thank you 🙏 many other settings like that, I later found out that the low power settings were built in for laptops, and they’re by default in that low power settings. So me being a desktop PC gamer has run into many low power settings. I wish these manufacturers would tell us 🤦‍♂️. Many reasons being given is battery 🪫 life, of course, but also interestingly enough there was a heat issue with some processors and laptops were hot to the tough. Never wanted or owned one, so I don’t know 🤷‍♂️. But food for thought 💭

i am getting fan rpm spikes it either runs on 4000(becomes helicopter) or runs at 500rpm(games become unplayable) please help

I’ll give that a try when I get home. I now have seven 6000 series GPU’s in the house and trying to play older games at 4K 60 frames per second it’s not even possible because the card is clocking itself down to 600 MHz. I can’t believe AMD has not fix this in their drivers yet. There is too much auto down clocking going on. We shouldn’t have to turn off low power modes for when we aren’t gaming. AMD needs to fix this, no wonder Nvidia has so much market share. This even happens in BF4 Ultra 1440p 144hz. My frames will dip below the 142 set point and I look at my gpu and sure enough it’s not even at 99-100% utilized. These cards are slowing themselves down instead of giving max FPS.

i have this problem with the amd rx580, in my case this setting does not work. i found that smart access memory also causes this problem but only in roblox so disable it if you have it enabled.

Well i have literally the same gpu as you iam not having any problem with games yeah they do stutter maybe because of the issue you have described but the main problem is my gpu is not utilized at all when iam editing on after effects even when the encoder is set to open Cl and this causes my cpu to max out

i have rx 550 2g ddr5 and fresh format and when i play games may max gpu clock is 1071 not over clock thats normal when i open a game this clock speed go down to 300 and my fps is getting worse and sometimes crash the game and i found your solution thanks this is really bad for amd users cuz they always update there gpu's program but they cant solve this kind of problem even thousands of amd user's complain and report about it now i understand why they said AMD gpu's are trash and switch to nvidia

my new rx 6750 xt and newer adrenaline drivers dont care about adrenaline settings or msi afterburner disabling of ULPS, which i have done. no matter me setting a medium or high minimum frequency percentage or clock speed numbers, it seems they are completely ignored, and merely gpu scales frequencies internally according to load, which of course never reflects instant load, and stutters ensue. hate all the power saving bs in every component of computers....meanwhile fossil fuel industries continue unabated, and their primary users, which are also industry. we got the short end of the stick and governments got to pretend they were doing something about fossil fuel energy. every new gpu costs more, has higher maxium clocks...but for the most part where it matters--not in benchmarks--they suck. my new wonderful gpu doesnt want to go higher than about 300mhz in the game i play most often, wolfenstein enemy territory. doesnt matter using original ET or ETLegacy.
