Fix for AMD Adrenaline Drivers Crashing

So, my graphics card was crashing ever since I bought it back in October, I wasn't able to fix it trying many different things and spending a bunch of money on stuff I didn't need to. I looked at the AMD drivers to try to find a dated version and found enterprise drivers, I watched a video to see if there was an impact on gaming and there was next to no impact even a small performance boost in some games. I was about to sell my XFX 6600 XT and move to an Nvidia 3060 but now after seeing how well this card has been working when it's not crashing (So Far) I think I will keep it. I like the AMD driver software and options as well and didn't wanna go back to Nvidia but so far it's looking like I shouldn't have to. Adrenaline drivers are very bad don't use them. Use enterprise if you have that option they run my games amazingly with excellent framerates even better than adrenaline from what I've seen.

Things like this is exactly why i gonna buy nvidia geforce in the future! Just lost all my gear two times on tarkov bc of this silly crash.. update 02/03/24 ; i have now bought a Geforce gtx 1080 Ti 11gb for 50$, that ive run'd for maybe 3-4months. Not one single crash or fail bc of graphic driver/card. Just switch/return or throw your Radeon in the thrash, where it belongs 😊

Thanks bro, I just downloaded the drivers and I'm crossing my fingers that the issue is fixed. I tried almost everything at this point. AMD is kinda d*g sh*t at supporting their video cards. I'll think twice before buying another AMD card. Here, have a sub.

Update: Still VERY stable it's been a few months and I've had 3 crashes which is wayyy better than the consistent 50 crashes/mo or almost 2 crashes a day or when opening games. haven't tested the new drivers and probably won't since this works so far. NOTE: This seems to be only for the 6000 series AMD graphics card and professional cards. I have since switched to a 3060 Ti but this worked until the switch Helpful comments may have a solution if you have not yet found a fix

So after vigorous research and several headaches later I've found out my BIOS wasn't updated. I'm no longer receiving this error.

Underclock the card to 90% via the tuning controls in Adrenaline.
It's slightly slower but becomes stable. Running on an HP prebuilt, Ryzen 5 3400g, 6500xt
Problem game was Warhammer 3

Gabriel:
I fixed the problem by doing a gpu undervolt and reducing the gpu frequency to base, this because amd adrenaline drivers does an overclock automatically.

Kenny Robert:
disable onboard graphics in bios work for me, rx 580 no crash anytime

Thanks. This is really AMD's responsibility but I guess they have grown accustomed to "outsourcing" support to those who have paid them already.

I gotta say man, two years later this fixed it for me. Thank you so much. Wishing you the best 🙏

I did this, and it fixed my issues. Thanks. I did previously try updating my BIOS, but that didn't work. The adrenaline drivers would crash when the computer was idle, or after it was in sleep mode. The "pro" drivers are much more stable.

I tweak the Voltage of the card via AMD WATTMAN particullarly in State 7 Voltage to 950mV and it fix my issue.

Thanks, this solution combined with changing my fan curve seems to be working for me so far, i'm playing games that would crash every 2 minutes and now i can play for 30 minutes at a time with no crashes. Hopefully this will stay, but i am NEVER buying a Radeon card again, it's Nvidia from now on

Nope, still crashing. Tried everything really... Guess selling it and buying an Nvidia gpu is the only solution.

my drivers dont crash often but it happens enough to where it is a problem, hopefully this will help because i’d imagine pro drivers being more stable than adrenaline

Ya I'm done with AMD. When the supers come out in a few days I'm switching and never coming back to AMD. I only play WoW a 20 year old game and get GPU driver crashes constantly

What happens in mine is that whenever the PC enters in sleep mode and I wake it up again, the driver stops working and I have to reinstall it.

I fixed my driver issue with AMD. Green Screen Crash. Disable WIndows MPO and then check your display resolution. Go to Advanced Display settings and make sure the Desktop and Active signal mode is the same resolution. A different resolution for the Desktop and Active signal mode will cause the screen to crash and timeout.

It worked: had black screem issues with AMD Radeon RX550. Updated Bios, then removed drivers and updated with AMD pro drivers. Thanks.
