When referring to Wakandan vibranium, true adamantium is definitely the stronger of the 2 when it comes from a sheer durability and offensive perspective but its less versatile.

Adamantium is also rarer considering it's a combination of chemical resins that only the U.S government knows the ratio of, and iirc the lab that coated Wolverine's skeleton isn't a thing anymore.

Given the fact that the metal might as well be mythical at this point, I think it's fair that it's depicted as being the more powerful of the two most of the time.

The only vibranium alloy that is better than adamantium is arctic vibranium and solely due to its metal liquifying properties, things like Captain America's shield have easily been shredded by Wolverine's claws before.

Also, an interesting fact is that Adamantium doesn't sound like a metal itself, but rather a descriptive term for the metal, obviosuly derived from the word "adamantine" which means "unbroken" Captain America's shield is made of an alloy called "proto adamantium." However, the shield itself contains no adamantium and is a vibranium alloy mixed with other metals. Meanwhile Wolverine's adamantium is referred to as "true adamantium" and is made of a bunch of chemical resin alloys that solidify into a metal. It is truly unbreakable (99% of the time at least)
