Star Wars' Beskar VS The MCU's Adamantium And Vibranium

Is there anything fans love more than debates about random aspects of fictional universes? That’s a trick question because we all know the answer is a resounding no. While we’ve had many fights where we pitted heroes against heroes, we will now determine which is the greatest metal in the pop culture universe. We’ve managed to narrow everything down to three of the most popular in fandom history. Those would be Beskar from the Star Wars universe, as popularized by The Mandalorian, Vibranium from the MCU as popularized by Black Panther and the Captain America films and Adamantium from the X-Men series as popularized by every single time Wolverine had a rampage.

As far as Beskar is concerned, we’ll cover what may be the most sought after metal in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian has gone to great lengths to show not only the physical value of Beskar but the spiritual value it has to Mandalorians as well.

Then we’ll cover Vibranium, the signature weapon of Wakandans and Captain America. This incredibly versatile metal from a meteor that dropped on Africa changed Wakanda and the world forever. Until Thanos showed that it wasn’t quite as powerful as we thought.

Finally, we’ll cover Adamantium from the old X-Men film series. It may have been awesome when Wolverine used it, but how much do we count off for that terrible Adamantium bullet?

Let’s find out which of these is the best as we pit Beskar, Vibranium and Adamantium against each other!

Adamantium is actually VERY heavy. The reason Logan is able to hold it so easily is because of super strength and his regeneration factor. Take Lady Deathstrike, after Logan filled her body with Adamantium and she fell in the tank, you can hear a very obvious *thunk* sound when she hits the floor

Hulk's pants is obviously the strongest material in the universe

Vibranium is probably the least rare metal of the three, there’s a HUGE mine full of it in wakanda that the wakandan’s have barely scratched the surface of for hundreds of years

Beskar:
Resists lightsabers
Vibranium:
Super versatile super strong
Adamantium:
An altered version of vibranium that is stronger (poisonous)
Uru:
Forged from a dying star and conducts magic
Tony stark’s element:
Capable of powering the arc reactor
Infinity stones:
Just broken

Beskar can withstand lightsaber attacks, showing that it doesn't vaporize or melt easily. It took the Darksaber several seconds of contact before the beskar spear even started to glow red. This means that beskar can dissipate heat at an incredibly high rate. A material like that can be used for many applications. Id say that's worth an extra half versatility point, make it an even tie with Vibranium

Adamantium is actually really heavy it's just Wolverine has super strength so he's able to carry himself easily

Adamantium is extremely heavy. Wolverine is extremely strong. The only reason the bike dropped when he sat on it is because gravity took over for his muscles.

The MCU actually screwed up one big thing about Cap's shield and basically re-wrote vibranium and its properties entirely. When vibranium was first introduced it was tough, but it wasn't anywhere near adamantium strong and that toughness came from the fact that it could absorb and disperse vibrations better than anything else. Cap's shield was actually a blend of vibranium AND adamantium which is why it was so indestructible. However, Marvel didn't have the rights to use adamantium when the MCU first started since Fox still held them, so they basically had to completely retcon vibranium's properties in order to essentially turn it into admantium. With the Black Panther movie, that got further morphed into one giant McGuffin so the writers could basically turn it into a magical substance that can do pretty much whatever the plot needs it to do. The only real challenge for this one is Beskar vs Adamantium and since they're in different fictional universes we'll never really get a good answer for it.

I give the win the Beskar. Even though I was literally yelling at the screen when they too beautiful layered Beskar and melted it down to make his armor in The Mandalorian, making the time and expense of using a Damascus style looking metal for the prop.

Maybe I'm the only one who noticed?

The question was which one was STRONGER and they just gave us the “best metal in pop culture” that didn’t answer the question at all we need SCIENCE

Beskar takes the cake any day if the week for me. The fact that it can't be cut by light sabers (which can cut through most things) means that it's over the top durable. Compared to the others this makes it extremely cool raising that score

Me, a Star Wars fan: hears you give Vibranium a higher cool rating than Beskar.
Also me: its treason then.

They’re very different metals with different purposes. Vibranium is meant to disperse impact while Beskar is meant to stop energy and plasma based attacks.

What would happen if Beskar, Adamantium and Vibranium were melted and fused together?

Beskar is tough but can be broken, Vibranium is stronger but it can be broken but Adamantium is the most powerful metal and Vibranium shield can withstand attacks from Adamantium claws but only withstand. In Comics, Adamantium is so powerful that it can't even be used to cut itself.

So because magneto can control adamantium it doesnt get a 10 for durability

Magneto can control every metal so also beskar and vibranium

The thing I hate about cap shield breaking in Endgame, people keep forgetting how math works. With enough force, anything can shatter. It shows it every single movie they feature a strong metal, force over mass wins everytime no matter what the structure or object is.

Fun fact a lightsaber can cut vibranium.
Vibranium absorbs sound and kinetic energy but not heat it’s how caps shield has been put back together before.

Adamantium is stronger than Vibranium (even if the vibranium reaches its threshhold of energy absorbtion). Seeing as Beskar can withstand a lightsaber, its possible it could withstand adamantium.
