Bo Jackson's First MLB Game (Post Injury) September 2, 1991 (ESPN)

Bo Jackson was an absolute beast - he was one of the players you stopped doing whatever you were doing when he came up to the plate.

In 1990, he suffered a terrible hip injury playing in an NFL game, and was subsequently released by the Kansas City Royals. The Chicago White Sox signed him in early 1991, and on September 2 of that year, he played in his first game since the injury.

I was watching ESPN baseball, and they cut into this moment live as it happened - this is all I have of the game, unfortunately. Although, I think this is probably the best part. It was already his 4th plate appearance, and the ovation from the crowd says it all.

It's a short clip, but I really like it and I thought you might like it too.
Enjoy!

Frank Thomas, Robin Ventura, Sammy Sosa, and Bo Jackson. Wow.

See how Bo took his time and pine tar the ball like the old school viewing of a baseball game. That is what baseball needs now.
