The first base coach was John Mayberry. When he saw Bo play, he said, "Nothing that big should move that fast."

Wasn't even close. On a fast surface like Astroturf as well. Sick

Two or three pitches earlier, he hit a foul bowl just to the left of the pole ... and he was basically on second base when they called it. Bo was the man

Shout out to Steve Carlton. Two legends in this clip.

He got to first base right around the same time as prime Mickey Mantle got to first from the right side. Which is damn impressive! Both Bo and Mickey in their primes were CRAZY fast.

THAT WAS 3 SECONDS FLAT heard he had to run up the right field wall to slow down or someone said he busted a hole through the right field wall.

In case anyone is wondering what happened, he got a base hit. An infield single.

Supposedly that was the second fastest recorded time for a RH hitter to get to first base in MLB history...in his first AB. Wild.

Who was the first? I have it timed from the time the bat hit the ball as 3.3 seconds. - Mickey Rivers NY Yankees Allstar game beat one out I timed it 3.08 (Keep in mind Rivers was a lefty) I also timed it after he took his first step into the left side batters box and got a time of 2.9 seconds. Not sure who would have won a 30 yard run him or Mick the quick. Anything more than that obviously Bo was a world class sprinter.
