Shader Functions Galore | Gamedev Math

We've been going SO FAST! We have to cover some small mathematical topics such as function composition that'll make it for us in subsequent videos. We explore them by recreating a lighting effect seen in my friend's steam demo!

For those of you interested in going deep into shaders the entire tutorial is a great resource!
Of course you should also see what your game engine/graphics whatever supports! The documentation--while probably dry--is online!

I swear, this man gets a few extra hours each day compared to the rest of us.

Another sweet tute, its nice to see the underlying math fundamentals, I know how to use the blender nodes pretty well & do all sorts of stuff, but not so much very clear on why the math is working lol Ive always just plug & tweak until pleased, now certain things make much more sense & I can visualize why. Thanks for sharing these, its inspiring as im wanting to get in the 3d flow again soon for some projects, its the most rewarding & flexible art-form, I love it! Good luck on growing the channel, oh and those macaroons look amazing!

Excited to go watch the Linear Algebra video.

A+ video sir! When making shaders do you ever find that you need higher order interpolations? Or is the cost of using anything higher than third order not worth it for gamedev applications?
