EXPAND:

Hey fellow noodlers!
In this episode we are focusing on visual fx (effects) and doing some polish for Velocity Noodle. Being the game is a precision platformer, there's a limited amount of actions the player can do in the video game (compared to something like an RPG) so we need to make the few actions feel good. That includes making visual effects and tweaking small things just to make it that little bit better. In this episode we also use Pixel FX Designer to make particle animations.

cool shit man

edit: Just checked the steam page and trailer and looks cool, but I have a few suggestions you should consider:
1) Sound effects are way too harsh. They break pace with the music too much in my opinion and should be more gentle and less "noticeable".
2) When sliding on rails or teleporting, maybe some screen shake or something would spice stuff up. In fact, the rail sliding seemed really sluggish.
Not much, but those two things stood out to me and made me perceive the game as less polished. Jonas Tyroller's game, Will You Snail, is a good example of what I mean by a polished game. Just nitpicking so you hopefully you can make the best game you can, but your game really is looking awesome. Anyways, I wish you luck on your game creation journey.
