You can take this further through many means! Also, you don’t need to fly over the spikes, just position yourself and the enemy to where they are in the spikes and you are just outside of them, then move you and your target 5ft left and 5ft right repeatedly, rapidly vibrating them until you are holding nothing but a dark pink paste!

This is why I'm sad dragging isn't an actual rule. As written, if you are flying so are they, so no spike growth damage. You can walk around the perimeter though!
