His times we're called fake & fraudulent. But faced against the worlds best at the Indoor World Athletics Championship, Lachlan Kennedy would prove the clock doesn't lie.

Actually crazy how much hate he got for simply being good at the sport, all athletes competing at that level deserve nothing but respect. Proud to have a fellow Aussie on the podium.

Bwahaha, Kennedy almost dying after his first heat hitting that bank was epic. Benitez slow motion injury to tragic ankle roll looked gruesome. Would have been interesting to see if he could have kept up. Top notch watch, keep it up!

Congrats Lachlan. Show him some respect. Quiet achievers often do incredible things. I will be watching, following and supporting.

SIMBINE! So happy for him to finally medal at Worlds; indoor or outdoor the guy has been among the best for years. And always carries himself with class. A true competitor; well deserved.

Lets just be honest, these "experts" in media etc mocked his chances and demeaned his accomplishments purely because of his race.

Kennedy did amazingly well considering he had never competed indoors before. Most people would probably think that if you can run fast the environment is irrelevant and that is true to some degree, but less so when the environment is completely unfamiliar. I still find it amusing that a Kiwi would choose to stick up for an Aussie, rather than cover his favourite event, but I appreciate that there was a lot more to talk about in the 60m.

Awesome video. I was so excited to see what Kennedy could do ever since he ran that 6.43 and he was my pick for gold but a silver like that is still absolutely amazing. I love that each round completely shutdown the comment that said he would struggle to go under 6.6 indoors. Can't wait to see what he does next.

Good on you Lachlan, showing those heavy hitters you mean business. Also Hats off to Benitez, he was running like an out of control locomotive.

A rising star in a sports event that doesn't look like everyone else around him? Getting hate? Nothing new.

I knew his 6.43 wasn't a farce.. It's like people think fast Australian times are fake and that's just not the case lol. I figured he'd run a little slower indoors because there would be no wind. But the dude is still fast.. His 100m PB is 10.0X for a reason.

People just hate to hate. Even after his medal people were saying "he still didn't run 6.4 though", when he was 0.01 off doing so and 6.43 (1.6) and 6.50 indoors are very comparable anyway. People suddenly forget the impact of wind when Kennedy's involved? Not to mention he negotiated the rounds perfectly having never stepped on an indoor track in his life before.

At least Erin Brown is ragebaiting for TikTok and X revenue, I don't know what the others' excuse is.
