Welcome to this guided meditation for cultivating metta, or lovingkindness. For people healing from eating disorders or other addictions, the most difficult person to love is often the self. In this metta meditation, we are going to begin by practicing lovingkindness outwards and then turn this healing energy inwards to increase self-compassion and self-love. May you find peace in recovery.

while i was doing this meditation, i noticed that while i was seeing my own soul, i see it as only in my crown chakra. that made me realize that the soul takes up lots of space, and it can’t be crumpled up and tossed aside. it can’t even be contained in the body.
