we couldn't complete the updates undoing changes - windows 10 quick fix

After several unsuccessful attempts to follow their instructions I held down esc button and enter after it buffered the same message it went to restarting and came back on to log on screen
It seem to work also after i click ed control alt f8 f9 esc enter it went to log on screen first time
When it worked after 2nd 3rd and 4th time it got harder to start like it was resisting prompts the computer would keep restarting till i unplugged then plug back in and attempt with esc button and enter button held down simultaneously computer restart onto logon screen
