I'm deaf and I don't use cochlear implants. I used to wear hearing aids but not anymore. I'm happy and proud to be deaf. I want to clarify to everyone on here that cochlear implants doesn't means we are not deaf anymore, we will always be deaf no matter what but it's a device to help us to hear when we use it

Fun fact: some in the deaf communities will disown you if you ever try to attain hearing. They make being deaf a part of their personalities and take it very, very personally. Not all of them, obviously, but I've heard many stories.
