In this #atlassian #jira video, I am going to show you how to protect your Jira instance from the public by updating your global permissions. There are a few global permissions that you should be aware of. The biggest one allows anyone on the internet to create a team-managed project in your Atlassian/Jira instance. This is bad!

The "Manage group filter subscriptions" permission enables the ability for non Jira admin users to set filter subscriptions to groups. Otherwise they can only configure personal subscriptions.

Alex, you are sporting a new microphone here but your audio is really-really low. Check it out.

Hi! I think this is slightly inaccurate as only licensed users can create Jira Projects. The setting is confusing as it says that "Only licensed users can create Jira Projects" but then enables this setting for anyone on the internet. It's very misleading but I don't think it is as bad as it implies.

Please correct me if I'm wrong though! :)
