How to Create Global Roles for Permissions in Jira | Atlassian Jira
Показать описание
Step-by-step instruction to create global roles in #Atlassian #Jira. I am here to help make things easy for you! Global roles are great to help you abstract how you manage permissions in Jira. There are many different ways to do this, and this is the method that I typically use.
I recommend you have the following roles:
Administrator. This role is the default role, so you don't have to make any changes here, but I do recommend you add additional roles as you don't want everyone being an Administrator in your Jira projects. Administrators should be able to: Read, Write, and Delete.
Developer. This role doesn't have to mean developers only, but it basically means a user that is going to be using Jira to create, edit, and view issues. In other words, this role defines someone that can Read and Write in Jira. Notice, that unlike the Administrator role, there is no delete power intended for this role.
User. This role is designed to give folks the ability to see your Jira project/issues, but not actually create anything. This role can only Read. They can't create anything and they can't delete anything. This role is perfect for executives that want to stay up to date with project statuses, but not necessarily have the power to break/alter data in Jira.
