My Muslim friend invited me to her sister's naming ceremony or something..since I was the only vegetarian guest there...she and her aunt cooked specially for me 6-7 different veg dishes. And even she had only veg lunch with me that day.i really appreciate their effort ❤

Being a Muslim it's a cultural shock for me because we have a mandatory veg section for vegetarians in our marriages. Chicken-Mutton ki 5 dishes ki jagah 2 dishes ho to chalta hai but without vegetarian food nahi chalta.

I am from Hyderabad. I went to attend my friend's brother's reception. They're Muslims. Although I was literally the only vegetarian guest, they had a separate vegetarian stall. There were only jeera rice, chhole bhature and dal tadka. The food was tasty. I was surprised because I thought I have to go home without food. I was glad they had a vegetarian food stall. I thanked my friend for it.

My sister wedding is in February. We have booked 2 kitchens also which came alongwith 2 halls (gents and ladies separate). So decided to use one kitchen for non veg and one for veg. Also cooks are different as they r expert in their food. And for vegetarians, we hv puri, daal makhani, paneer butter masala, naan, zeera rice and mixed vegetables . Baaki salads, ice cream, gajar ka halwa, gulab jamun, rosgulla h.. Hamare bht saare friends vegetarian h..

Thats nice to hear even in my parents wedding my dad is a software engineer and a football player (he played at state level then got in job 😢) so in my parents wedding for both his frisnds from office and from football came so....in reception and wedding, valima in every ceremony they kept separate buffet for vegetarians 8 to 9 dishes we muslims eat veg also and respect non Muslims and vegetarians 😊❤

I have been to two Muslim weddings but I never struggled for vegetarian food... they both had a great selection of vegetarian food and it was kept separate from non-vegetarian food too. The food was awesome. I never had such delicious vegetable biryani... 😋
