The part where he was hallucinating his mother on their way to Arasaka tower really broke me.

Poor rebecca, i really want her to live, but since her story is tied up with everyone else it make sense that she could not make it to season 2

its amazing how they made references of the original cyberpunk bugs
like those janky car physics
and that line "cops appearing from thin air"

I saw his death coming on the end of the first episode. Promised not to get attached to him because these kinds of stories only turn out one way and despite the show reinforcing that throughout, I can't help but wish it turned out better for David, Lucy and their friends.

The best and saddest part was when Rebecca was laughing and David started laughing too. That made me realize he was gonna follow the same fate as Maine.

During the Adam smasher fight, smasher tells David “you would make a fine contruct “
Just how they made Johnny silver hand one and David got killed the same way that Johnny did, so my theory is that we’re gonna see David again, maybe as a construct inside a new body or maybe inside Lucy’a head like Johnny and V

I rarely cry on a series or a movie but this one really touched me and I cried like a baby and the final scene when Lucy sees David destroyed me

That one line from David at the end, i think it was "I'm sorry we couldn't go to the moon." broke me. Like it just hit way too damn hard in the moment.

Holy hell, I knew he´s going to die but I am still.. empty after the ending. I wanted those two to have happy ending. Would really appreciate some form of future stories with Lucy at least..

It's a tale of cyberpsychosis, V and David technically go down the same path, but the only difference is that V has people still and Johnny most of all, V wanted to live on and stay alive and David just wanted Lucy to get her dream nothing more. Also if you get the secret ending where V storms A tower, the enemy's calls V a cyberpsycho, and it's reported as a cyberpsycho attack if you listen to the radio of enemy's

I think the quote from lucy, "people don't remember you by how you live but how you die." He live without saving his mom and the others but died saving lucy (thats why he was in the memories when lucy went to the moon. edited)

considering davids death was a year before the main events of 2077 and decades after the first soulkiller program, its possible that saburo arasaka ordered davids consciousness to be stored on an engram like silverhand and be tortured forever.

no way they would leave a "menace to arasaka" to die like that without any repercussions.

I'd argue that Lucy didn't fulfill her dream in the end as it wasn't her dream anymore. She just wanted for David to live. What she was doing after quitting the crew was delaying/throwing off Arasaka plans for David. She might still be alive but is miserable. No one wins but the corpos and my lonely heart really couldn't handle it.

A thing not mention that I quite like is when Lucy gets to the moon it's quite obviously just a corpo tourist trap, so any meaning she derives from being there is something she brought with her. The moon is not shown as as the ultimate destination because the moon itself is in any way different from Night City only that she give it meaning. I thought that was a really nice touch.

I was afraid Lucy would die. Giving David a V sorta feeling. Losing someone super close to you and wanting to finish their journey. I'm sad to see David go, but I'm glad Lucy is still with us. I'm a full grown man and I cried at the ending. 💀 Seeing her tears when she imagined David there on the moon with her😭😭

Bruh it was so sad that David died and Lucy saw a vision of him on the moon. I feel that means that her dream of "escape" is incomplete without David 😢

Jesus Christ, I just finished the last episode and I am devastated. I knew David was going to die but the whole time I just wanted him to dechrome a bit and have a nice life with Lucy 😭

The way I see it. They should have different life paths for each season since David's story was one of a street kid maybe we can get one with a nomad or corpo next
