Gatac Syulen - Xi'an Language Sneak Peeks from the ISC Trailer

In this video, I show how the Xi'an Language is being used throughout the ship so far, speculate on where else it might be used in the final released version, and announce my plans for coverage over the next few days.

Jale, you simply never disappoint. Every video feels short but dense and always worth the watch. I was excited when you mentioned doing a video like this for the Syulen and just this preview was better than I had hoped. it’s great getting the extra context of the “literal” translations for the words the designers decided to use.

It’s just so nice seeing the Xi’an language used throughout the ship. I’m so pleased with how they mixed the English and alien labels so that it feels truly useable for a speaker of either. If this is the standard for future xeno ships, we’re in for a treat with each release.

Textures on the ship make it feel like it's made of some roughly hewn Black Granite on the exterior with some stippled stone on the interior. I can't wait for Morphologis architectural take on this thing, and I know your linguistic prowess will add important context for the design and language as well!

I'm looking forward to that! I am still undecided about this one. I LOVE alien ships and this does look exotic, but I haven't been able to get a good feel for the interior. I have so many ships and I haven't been able to figure out how and when I would want to use this. Seems like it may be a great daily driver, but it also looks like a nice big target for pirates and other PVP folk.
