Please ask a Latina who is not in Hollywood their opinion… most of us value and are proud of being included in the word “Latinos”! Our language is made of masculine and feminine and is beautiful just as it is.

As a Latina, I totally disagree with Adrienne. You should NOT refer to Latinos as Latinx. That is just weird. I think she is explaining it wrong!

I am Latina and when LatinOs is used, my common sense tells me that I'm also included. We are proud of our Spanish language and no corporation or woke radicals have permission to re-label. You cannot use LatinX to describe us no matter what Adrienne says. She does not speak for us. Yes it's offensive!!
If people are uncomfortable it's their own problem. They need to deal with their own issue and not drag us all into it.
We do not get offended with Hispanic or Latinos or Latin American.
DO NOT listen Adrienne!!

What’s hilarious is us Latinos actually living in Latin America don’t even have time to think about this kind of problems. We have major problems going on in our culture and certainly the word “Latino” isn’t one of them. If Americans want to do something to help our community then please help us reach the big problems like corruption, violence and acknowledge the American government historically taking advantage and being racist towards our people. Thank you.

I’m Latina and I despise the term LatinX. It’s super cringe and I find it strange that non Hispanics think they can just label us a new word.

As someone who LIVES in Latin America let me tell you, no one says Latinx.

Let Adrienne go back to Ecuador and see how much love she’ll get by calling people Latinx lol

She contradicts herself. If most of us latinos dont feel comfortable being labeled, called latinx, why would adrienne recommend her to just call us latinx? 😑

Could not disagree more with her the term is cringy. If someone wants to be called LatinX fine but don't label all of us. Totally agree with Garcelle.

As a LATINA, I disagree with Adrienne. Saying “latino community” is not in any way misogynistic😂 gurl that is our LANGUAGE. No one, except gringos, found themselves offended with that word. Just like our Spanish plural for “the people” is “las personas” and we use that to refer to a group of people including men and women. Respect our language and stfu😂😂😂

So tired or “certain people” being offended on behalf of others and deciding to change our language and customs because “it’s for the best” Enough!

Adrienne does NOT speak for the Latino culture. The adoption of “Latinx” is a complete injustice to our Mother Tongue, Spanish. More over, in case it wasn’t obvious, it is grammatically incorrect!

People just sit at home bored to death and think "what can I do to feel like I'm doing something for humanity?" and start creating words and weird terms that no one asked for. I've not heard ONE latin person say they were offended by the term "latinos"...ever. In fact, this word is confusing because it is only applicable to the portion of the latin community that speaks English, while everyone else is just confused about it and/or have never even heard of it. I refuse to use that sh!t

If only 23% of Latin people heard of this term, why would we start calling and labeling people things they have never heard of before? Isn’t that kind of offensive?

Adrienne HAS to have gotten paid or a good “talking to” to push this narrative. Literally NO one with the heritage she is discussing actually agrees with her, and she’s talking like she represents everyone 😆

As a woman with Haitian AND indigenous American heritage, myself, I don’t like being automatically called AfRiCaN-aMeRiCaN, and I agree wholeheartedly with Garcelle 💯

Adrienne’s explanation was confusing and there’s no way I will address someone Latinx when half of the race has never heard the term LatinX.

For those English speakers who support "latinx" and "latine" and don't even know Spanish:

Las personas
La comunidad Latina
La gente
La ciudadania
La muchedumbre
Las personas latinas
La humanidad
La clientela
La servidumbre

All of these are female plural words; but they're neutral. You can use them to refer to a group of people(male and female).
Do you want to cancel those words too? Or you're just against the male neutral plural Spanish words?

I agree with Garcelle! Why does everything have to be modernized and why does everything have to have a label now. If you want to be called LatinX FINE, do you! But it’s also fine if someone doesn’t want to be referred to that.

I'm a Latina not a Latinx. I have a transgender sister and I'm all for respecting people's pronouns, when in doubt just ask the person you're speaking to.

Adrienne really needs to educate herself more on her culture. If she visited Puerto Rico she would know that no one wants to call each other “Latinx.” She needs to work on her Spanish before she tries to become a spokesperson for all Latinos.
