Minimalist's Recommendations: Best Microbrand Watches for Small Wrists (From $300)

The concept of affordability in the world of watches tends to be a little warped. Pieces from esteemed brands costing $1000 or $2000 can often be classed as being "affordable". But no matter how you look at it, spending more than a couple of hundred dollars on a watch can objectively be considered a luxury. So while the watches in this video are relatively "affordable" and what I feel is in the sweet spot of $300-$700, it has to be acknowledged that they're not cheap or inexpensive.

Hmmm… watches as a minimalist are a tricky subject imo. At least they are for me. I often had moments where I longed for a great expensive watch, but I luckily never purchased one. I settled for a Seiko SARB033 a while ago, since it is/was quite cheap but extremely versatile and classic. Also, Casio is amazing for their price.

I've been following this channel for years, and now seeing content on watches just warms my heart.

Great picks, and I absolutely agree on giving microbrands our support.

Especially in the world of watches where brand prestige often supercedes logic... we forget that many of the luxury brands started off like these guys - not to flex, but to fulfill a purpose, and to last long doing so.

I have a smartwatch currently for when in at work or school when I can’t access my phone, but I also inherited a watch from my grandfather many years ago and I replaced the strap to fit my wrist and I still wear it along with my smart watch. It’s not practical for a normal person, but for me it’s perfect
