Working with wildlife is a dream career for so many people. But there is no one clear role or one set path to get there. There are so many careers in wildlife conservation and wildlife biology and so many different things you can to do start your career off. So this video focuses on my own personal experiences in getting my first staff position in wildlife rehabilitation.

In this video I answer the three most common questions I get:
1. What did I study?
2. How did I gain initial experience?
3. How did I find my first staff position?

If you find this video helped you then let me know! Or comment down below your experiences working with wildlife. If you are able to, then also consider buying me a coffee or signing up to my membership page to say thanks! You can find the link down below.

**IMPORTANT NOTE**
All wild animals shown in this video are either full-time sanctuary residents or are undergoing rehabilitation. These animals are not pets, they are wild animals and should be regarded as such.

This was super helpful! There are a few factors that I feel hold me back but the biggest one is living in the US. At the moment I am not able to move somewhere that I could find these opportunities, but am trying to find sanctuaries near me!

Thank you! It's great to hear from your experience, I'm starting college looking into a zoology degree at colleges for a "zookeeper" profession at an ethical wildlife sanctuary in the future (ideally). It can be sort of an elusive niche it seems! Good luck in your endeavors!!!
