I wish I knew this before I started working out (3 things)

These are just 3 things that came to mind.

I understand wanting a solid plan before getting started, but it's possible you don't have all the information needed to find the best possible fitness plan for you YET. You might have different goals than you think, or maybe it takes longer than you realize. The good news is that most safe movement is good for you, so you can get started and adjust as you learn more from experience.

Similarly, it's popular to want a custom workout plan tuned to your goals. While it can be good to get an experienced trainer that you trust to make one for you, a lot of people try to make their own. I PERSONALLY have found more benefit following someone else's plan to the letter - at least for a few months. This helps me really understand the nuances of a good training program (it often feels different than you think after you try it). Just get one from someone you trust and has been where you want to go! For example, if you want mobility and strength, find someone who is mobile and strong, or has been at some point in their lives. If you want to bodybuild, find a healthy bodybuilder mentor.

Lastly, like a lot of guys, I thought rest days were just for when we got tired. I was always inspired to push through. While that is a good use for rest days, resting well after a hard workout is when a lot of "gains" actually happen (when combined with good nutrition and lifestyle).

Just some thoughts! Hope you're all having a good day!

Omg this helps so much
I've been procrastinating starting working out again for like 6 months cos I wanted to make sure I would do it right because I didnt want to waste my energy and make a good workout plan but never got to making the workout plan so I guess I'll just start doing whatever and evolve it over time to be for me

thanks for the reminder about rest, getting impatient wanting results can cause burn out or even worse, injury! 😔

The hardest part of getting started is getting over that hump of resistance. Pre made plans make it so much easier because you don't have to plan or think about what to do, you just do the next step. It also gives you good exposure to different types of exercises so you can eventually learn which ones work and don't work for you

Subject: Request for More Exercise TutorialsHi Hampton, I hope you're doing well! I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for all the fantastic content you share on your YouTube channel and website. I’ve been following your free plan, and it’s been incredibly helpful, especially as someone starting from zero with no core strength, core compression strength, or handstand experience. Your tutorials have made a huge difference for me!I recently saw you performing V-sits, L-sits, and handstands in one of your videos, and I’d love to see tutorials for these exercises on your website. They would be really useful for beginners like me who are working to build core strength and learn these movements. Also, I really appreciate the dips tutorial, but I noticed it only covers parallel dips. It would be amazing if you could add advanced variations like archer dips and other progressions. I’m eager to take my training to the next level!Lastly, if you have any new tutorials or exercises of your choice that you’d like to add, I’d be thrilled to try them out. Your teaching style is great, and I love discovering new exercises through your content.Once again, thank you for all the work you do. Your videos are motivating and have been a big part of my fitness journey. I’m excited to keep learning from you!Best regards,
