I love how the first time they mentioned Season of Discovery everyone was like "WTF IS THIS????" and when they explained it in detail and hinted at an SM raid, Khara etc everyone suddenly passed out from the hype and realization.

Pretty sure that what soda said is true, these are the final 3 expansions that will wrap up the story of WoW so they can start over to some degree without having the last 20 years of story going to waste. That's why they brought metzen in the first place, to finish this.

Azeroth’s world soul terraforms in retaliation to the Titan’s great plan, causing all life on Azeroth to go extinct. Before this happens, the Bronze Dragonflight (hopefully Chromie) resets the clock, and sends everyone into an alternative timeline.

It was trying to be like Legion but it's not. I think Midnight and The Last Titan will be the best expansions though, just lore wise they have the most potential finally having Azshara and Sargeras as main villains unless the completely retcon the lore, but The Last Titan we're probably killing the entire Pantheon, because Order = Bad.

Anduin has learned so much from so many different leaders of the alliance and horde alike. If it's anyones time to be the main character it's him. He's been on a long journey since MoP. I've wanted to fight in his army against the void since those Legion comics that showed him in a time skip old and leading the light.
