Показать описание
Lionfish are poisonous fish in the genus Pterois which have 12 species. They are native to the Indo-Pacific region, then spread and became invasive fish in the Atlantic. The poisonous part of them is if we get stung by the tips of the spines on their fins, while their bodies are safe to eat, as long as they are cleaned properly.

There are lion fishes native to the Indian Ocean and the Western Pacific. Every species belongs somewhere.
