POV: You're stranded on a lifeboat in the middle of the ocean and this guy shows up, talks about lionfish, then disappears.

As a Floridian this is one of the worst parts about living here. Iguanas, cane toads, monitor lizards, certain wasps or other insects, boas. Animals that are just doing what they do to survive and yet must be killed. Because of people, humans stupidity. It’s sad seeing these animals be punished. They’ve literally done nothing wrong. But to protect our natives, we have to do it.l

It does seem sad because I am landlocked in Colorado and I literally just bought one of these on Tuesday and paid $185 for it

Humans are the cause and solution for the majority of invasive species. Thank you for spreading awareness and education!

They are also a problem in Florida, and you can't return them to the ocean if you catch one. But, if you know how to clean them, they are delicious. Or you can turn them in to FWC, and possibly win a few $100.

The broologist cleaning up the ocean one invasive species at a time 👌🏻 also I feel like the Panama Canal probably doesn’t help the situation

Forrest sir, incase u need be reminded today. Your an absolute legend in my book. What's it like to be so humble? What's it like to walk around "normal" folk.... The animals on this planet thank you sir.

I thought the Public Aquarium flooding out during a hurricane was how they got introduced to the Caribbean?

I’ve seen a few lion fish in person and they’re BEAUTIFUL. However its such a shame people feel the need to want them as pets only to realize it’s harder than they imagined.

I watched them slowly destroy the local ecosystem in Puerto Rico as a teenager. Really sad to see

They're good eating. If you live where you can get them snag them up and enjoy.

They've also become a problem in The Mediterranean as well. Horrible damned things, but apparently they taste really good.
