It is good to talk about this topic because many people make mistakes trying to use political correctness effectively. Sometimes people use PC as an excuse to make fun of someone in a bad situation. In this video, we could see that they were trying to make fun of the comparison of a Spanish word with an English one.
PC is used for people in a wrong way, it is not attacking anybody. In contrast, it is avoiding everything that insults or discriminates against people who are at a disadvantage, those groups that are facing problems because this allows them to be part of our society.
It is important to know where we are if we want to say any joke.

Latin stepmother reaction was typically the way of a sensitive people about her culture and value, she felt offended by her stepdaughter, but it has not to do with PC as many people think. Nowadays, people hide behind PC to get their goals.
Pc is about being tolerant and proactive rather than reactive. People need to be educated to have in their minds to treat all people fairly and to avoid humiliating them.
Empathy, Tolerance and being proactive are the key to have in the right way of be the example of the person political correctness.

Political correctness is avoiding criticizing other people who may feel offended. Our parents teach us the culture of respecting each other.
The use of different ways to express an idea can cause in some cases a little confusion for people who are starting to learn a new language, but what can we do? Well, it is necessary to explain the mistakes and not try to denigrate, or bully others.
The best way to use political correctness is explaining that if something is wrong, we have to correct with respect and using more assertive words. All of us have the right to make mistakes and also correct them.
On many occasions, we can inadvertently cause displeasure, it depends a lot on the person's state of mind, and the culture they have, white jokes must be made at the timely moment so as not to injure susceptibilities. We agree with this, of course, we must infer fair treatment throughout the world, as human beings. We all need to be treated that way, with respect and empathy.
It is a great truth that we learn better with empathy, love and not with harshness and being attacked.

PC refers to the avoidance of harmful terms that promote negative stereotypes. The omission of verbal discrimination is often considered one of the main goals for people today. We must talk or express without offending each other.

This video shows the issues related to political correctness; this is not the only misunderstanding. This is the case of a stepmother who offends when hearing a phrase. Knowing what the other is trying to say is necessary before expressing annoyance. It commonly happens when people do not have a clear conception of culture.

So that, always there will be people who are offended by the misinterpretation of language, however, it doesn't mean that it is a case of political correctness. Nowadays, people use different words at the moment of speaking because they learn from different ways tv or the Internet for instance. But, we have to understand most of them do not use that kind of word correctly and some of them use it without the intention of offending others. When we talk about political correctness is when we don’t exclude groups or people, in several cases we use this type of language to marginalize, insult groups of people who are socially disadvantaged or discriminated against. There is nothing positive about excluding and insulting people.
Moreover, people use political correctness to further divide the races and genders.

It seems to me that the situation was funny, however it wasn´t for the stepmother. So, we have to keep in mind that one of negative aspects of PC is that we can lead to misunderstanding with our comments or actions, I mean we can become offensive and hurt people´s sensitivity inintentionally.

Your video has come to me like a glove.
It’s interesting the way you explain how an expression/action that could be so normal for somebody could be offensive to others. Sometimes we can think that what we do or say don’t offend others just because we don’t have the intention to do it. In this case, it is necessary to think beyond. I do believe that PC is being respectful, emphatic, and kind. It isn’t necessary to exaggerate with different trends that are appearing nowadays such as inventing new words or changing the grammatical normal use only to please others who are not politically correct.

Political Correctness includes the avoidance of terms that reinforce preconceived negative stereotypes. The elimination of verbal discrimination is often considered one of the main goals of political correctness. PC is accepting the cultures and has respect for them. A word or term should not necessarily be offensive because your country has different definitions. Additionally, PC doesn't exclude groups or disappointments with some phrases. We aren't afraid to speak out. We should not be rude or offensive or criticize them. You will need to be educated to correct a term.
We invite you to be respectful and show empathy to others. Therefore, we need to be tolerant too, due to each one having a different way to see the world.

Political correctness sometimes causes misunderstandings in language.
For example this case in the video, it seems that a simple joke can turn into a big problem, and end up offending someone.
