I once told (as an adult) a college professor that I "didn'rt do "political correctness;" and from that moment on it was clear they wouldn't allow me to get a degree there. "there" = University of Oregon, Eugene, Oregon. a very sad place

One time my very liberal nephew said I was the most political incorrect person that he ever knew. What a BADGE OF HONOR when a well collage educated person tells you that you are a free thinking person. I'm simply not for sale like they are.

There is some confusion about free speech in the US: It only applies to Govt trying to suppress you. It does not protect you from the consequences of your speech. Could someone be fired for saying something? Yes, and it's not a restriction of their free speech.

I was always taught that free speech meant you could say rude words. As long as you don't threaten people with bodily harm. You can't tell someone that you want to unlive them. Scream Fire in a crowded theater.

Years ago I had the pleasure of meeting and (briefly) chatting with Jordan here in Toronto at a shawarma shop.

He was incredibly polite and genuinely engaged me in conversation for the handful of minutes we talked.

That interaction made me a ‘fan’ of his even though I am still critical of a few stances he has.

Maybe some people have a habit not getting it because of misplaced feelings but the ones you almost only hear are the loud ones speaking for others and accusing people for offending others,
