My Favorite Bait for Flatheads PAYS off Big

Ken and I loaded up with some of our favorite bait, Mooneye, and hit the river. It was a great night, minus the fog rolling in, and we got on some good fish!!!

I think it’s cool that you can tell, just by the bite, what catfish it is. A blue usually slams it. A Flathead is usually a subtle rod bend. And a channel is kind of a hybrid of the other two.

I put in the time to get a couple these rare fish. Holding them in the water & them swimming away is what I remember most of the fish. It is an experience of nature and a mutal friendship in a way he knows you let him live. Im really starting to care for these fish a lot.

I caught a baby flathead the other day about 14".. he was so cute & so strong. Awesome little guy he seemed real cheerful 😂❤
