In westernport the tides run so hard its difficult to hold the bottom with anything less than a 56g sinker.
Tried a rig with a running sinker about 1m above lure, cast out and just let the current work the paddletailñ

Hey Mark,
These videos are great and much appreciated. I've watching excitedly for the flathead videos. I got a few paddletails too. I see you have been flathead fishing not far from me and I was hoping you knew some great flatty spots in the Redlands not far from the Goldy?

Hey Bergie, does some sort of scent added to a lure help? I am guessing it cant hurt can it?

The thing about lures is that they mimic the natural colours and shape of their preferred prey. And then have a large Orange least weight on the front.

Hey mate, was wondering the best jig head hook size for those 4 inch paddles? I have been using the berkely yabbie imitations 2.5 inch on a 1/12 1L jighead and have been catching heaps of flatties

A fantastic and informative video. The info you delivered was great. However, get yourself another camera operator. The cameraman you used was less than useless. I would have loved to see the lures you were showing, but whoever was driving the camera didn’t show a single one of them!!
If you are going to talk about products…you need to show them in closeup detail.

be great if you held the lures still so we could see it instead jiggling them around at a distance

Berkley sand worms lift and drop around structure.

Just use one camera from the front. This craze that has infected so many productions where they periodically flick between side and front view rather speaking to the camera is truly irritating. The side view showed poorly what you had in your hand

Vid would have been better if cut with the baits on the right camera.

Some closeups of the lures wouldn’t have hurt

Best flathead baits are bullhead and big bluegill and remember no such thing as too big a bait

Soft plastics are trash for pretty much everything, worst lures but great for tight arises lol
