Just had to leave my job with the National Park Service due to my declining health, and though I'm really bummed about it, I suppose videos like these should make me a little thankful. If I kept going with my health the way it was, I could have ended up in one of these videos. Never underestimate the force of nature, and always have a buddy with you. Take care of yourselves.

My PopPop was stationed at Camp Carson, right before WW2 and he trained with the mountain division! When the war was over, he returned back to Carson & worked there for a few years.
I'm pretty sure he was one of the searchers for these poor lads. :( He spoke about doing S & R's, and some of the horrors of what that job entails, its really sad, and that stuff stays with you.
My Mom was born in 1950, and thats when he came back to PA to work closer to home, so He was definitely there at this time. He used to tell me stories about his training, and that he saw "some really crazy things in those mountains that we wouldn't ever see in the city."

He talked about seeing UFO's, lights/orbs, and other strange phenomena that he couldn't even begin to wrap his head around, even years later. He passed away three years ago, he & my Nan were together for over 70 yrs! She misses him terribly and cries several times a day. :(
He was the sweetest, most open-minded & wisest man that I know.

He went over to Italy, Germany & also France - He helped win the war. He was a sergeant in the Army (Bob Dole was in his regiment, I think!) I used to love to sit & listen to his war stories. They really don't make them like him anymore - he was tough as nails, but was also a big teddy bear!

He won a purple heart, a medal of honor & one other medal (i forget) At his funeral, Army vets came, all in uniform, and a few other military veterans from the area came, too. They gave Nan an American Flag & they did the gun salute, shooting rifles into the sky, in his honor - it was really lovely & so memorable. My Nan was hugging & kissing the boys (& one woman!) thanking them for their service & for coming to honor Pop, she just kept saying "He would've loved to see this! He would've loved this soo much!" I think He knows, Nan. We love & miss you, PopPop! xo

Wonderful, a whole hour of disappearances!! The cruise ship overboards are mysterious, but I've heard that the cruise lines come out with "suicide" because APPARENTLY they don't vet their staff as they should and there's an unsettling amount of criminal activity which results in these "unexplained"

Great video, I live in Fresno and For Matthew in Mammoth Lakes, if his Cell pinged those 3 towers that area would mean he had went over some pretty high mountains, Mammoth Lakes has 2 Verizon towers east of that and if he pinged west well thats super weird because I have hiked those mountains and it's not a place you EVER go alone. One thing I do when I hike and fish in the areas up there is I keep a list of location missing people on my phone and gps in the event I find clothing or camps that are out of place. Most people dont pay attention to it but finding somehting as simple as a shoe or even a button up there should be reported to authorities as this can be a clue to the many that have vanished up there. Keep up the good videos!

The cruise shps do not want to be sued for negligence or any other reason. Nothing bad is ever supposed to happen on your fabulous cruise. They don't want any bad press of any kind. Very nice job presenting these cases so concisely but clearly as well.

I’ve always found it odd when they say the kids are skilled in the outdoors and such and they’re ages 6-8. Sounding like Their 8 year old is bear grillis when really they’re still learning to tie their shoes

I've gotten lost in a heavily wooded 6 thousand acre while hunting but luckily found a game warden and took me back to my car . Dehydration is what attacks your body first and make it more difficult to walk . Please even though the area was not large if you're trail hiking Yosemite or other places like please be very prepared and hopefully with a hiking buddy . God bless all .

When I was a child my grandmother would take me mushroom picking. I remember when I was about 6 and on one occasion we got lost in the woods. We tirelessly looked for way out for hours. Luckily we got out of woods 5 kilometers away from the entry point. My grandma was a badass and there could have been no other ending to the story. At least that’s how I want to think 😅

I was planning to go hiking and camping in the Rosevelt National Forest this weekend to celebrate the Fourth. I had an overwhelming feeling almost like dread telling me not to go. I do a lot of hiking in Colorado, and always trust my gut and don’t go if I have a bad feeling ahead of time. That’s one of the “unwritten rules” I feel have kept me safe and out of harms way for my 30 years of doing dumb shit.

It sounds like when Amber went overboard on the cruise ship, the cruise line quickly stated that there was no foul play so that the remaining passengers didn't think there was a possible murderer on board.

I have a theory for the missing shoes or only the shoes being found (and this has likely been brought up before and I just haven’t seen it). It obviously won’t explain every case, but what I think happens is this: you are lost and disoriented. Walking for hours a day, in rough terrain, but not making progress. Whatever type of shoes / boots are on your feet, you are going to get blisters. Awful ones that may be infected. And you feel you cannot walk another step.

I’ve been on hikes where the blisters on my feet hurt so bad, I’d take off my shoes and sometimes walk with just socks or, if the ground was soft enough, barefoot. Anything but putting my shoes back on. If I became extremely dehydrated, suffered from exhaustion, began to lose hope, I could see leaving my shoes behind.

Again, it doesn’t explain every incident by any measure, but it may make sense in some cases.

Point of separation is just a disaster waiting to happen, always stick together even if you have to go at the slowest hikers pace

the Yellowstone case, 8 yo Dennis. WHY did the father send an eight year old child to look for his sister? an eight yo is very young, doesn't matter that he had some experience of the wilderness. he was just a little boy. horrible.

I have found through extensive research that even if someone has climbed & hiked numerous trails & mountains, they are not the same. You have to factor in weather conditions, terrain, wildlife, etc. to have a successful & safe excursion. Letting someone know exactly where you are going & not deviating from that plan is key, along with being prepared for sudden weather changes, or having a weapon for protection. Sometimes I think the person ran across something or someone they shouldn't have, kinda like the movie Deliverance & was disposed of so their secret could not be told. My heart, as always, goes out to the missing & their families, as my sister is an avid hiker & I constantly worry about her. Thanks again Adam for all of the hard work you do to bring these stories to light. God bless you. 💜🙋‍♀️🙏🇺🇲👍
