CHAIN TOUCH UP | FUEL & OIL

It takes me about 9 minutes to top off the fuel, top off the oil, tension the chain and sharpen the cutters on my Stihl 066.

Sharpening after every fill or two makes sense when cutting firewood on your own time but not when working for a tree care company or commercial firewood cutting. In those cases just put on a fresh chain and keep cutting, time is money.

When putting on saw, strummer and other fuel caps use bare hands. Plastic caps are easily damaged. Doesnt show but leaks.

cant say ive heard of sharpening unevenly.. is it just this saw that youve noticed that necessity? or is it all saws?... i have a sthil 271 farm boss. i have noticed if i do 3 swipes on one side and 2 on the other it gives my cuts a slight curve, thus it is important on mine to sharpen evenly. also, i got an old bottle of sae 80 oil that i use for my chain lube because it has a condiment style funnel head on it that leaves no room for error on spilling.
