Proper chain tension is hold the tip of the bar up and tighten till the chain just touches the bar. Or in other words you should be able to lift the chain after tightening that you can pull up on the chain and see light under the bottom of 3 drive links.

Nice but only suitable for a saw with inboard clutch. With an outboard clutch, as featured on most Huskies of the past 20yrs., it’s easier to fit the bar first and then fit the chain, first from the drive sprocket, along the top rail, around the nose sprocket and ensuring the chain is above the chain catcher. By then pulling the bar nose forward, you can see if everything is aligned, if the chain inserts itself into the lower rail.

Yes, that's how I installing it too. It somehow came naturally to me after a few less effective triel. I'm just not holding the chain. But I will after this video.

I've been running a chainsaw for 20 some years on and off professionally and the best way to attention a chain for the right tension is the tighten the chain tensioner pull up on the chain from the bar and if it snaps back lightly to the bar groove it's correct tension

Hello sir. I have problem with my chainsaw. The cover around the spoke was cracked, can I reused that cover after I've pull out the metal chip that stuck inside?

Neve had a issue putting a chain and/or bar on my saw. When it's a internal clutch. Won't be that easy with a external clutch
