This is a great video! I would also like to add one other form of manipulation: sexual persuasion. Someone using their physical attractiveness and/or your attraction to them as a way of extorting you. I think this form of manipulation is highly effective when it's used by women against men. Being that most men are extremely visual creatures.

How about when someone does you a favor and then uses it against you forever and ever, reminding you and maybe everyone else in your life just how much you OWE them back now, "After All They Have Done For You"?

There's a difference between natural charisma and caring, and people who learned to imitate those with empathy. Not at all the same.

Even those with empathy become tired of hearing from those who pull the strings of others' emotions.

You should learn to be composed (such as appearing calm during anxiety) but unless your safety is in danger, . I wouldn't puppet master anyone's feelings.

I remember people using these techniques on me but I also used some of these myself.
I feel like we simply adapt to using these techniques unknowingly or knowingly from the environment.

I think It'd be even better if you add what to do instead of these manipulative techniques or in what situations they might be valid.

Also I think it's not strictly bad using these, for example if a mother tells her child to clean after him and he won't listen, she will need to use other means to "manipulate" him, probably the cohersion technique, but it's not a bad thing, the child learns what responsibility is. It probably goes way deeper than that though..

Sadly. But I still think that I *was* one of them. By every year it seems to me I fix my problems, but my relationships still going to be unhealthy everytime. Eh...
