I didn't know my hair is wavy! (hair transformation)

Hello everyone! For the last couple of years since shaving my head I haven't had a hair care routine aside from just brushing it. I knew my hair had wispy pieces that flicked up at the ends and some coarse spots, but didn't ever think it might be curly/ wavy. So recently I decided to try a routine fit for someone with curly hair and these are the results! I keep trying different techniques and some days are definitely better than others lol. Again, I don't mean to offend anyone with this video, I just wanted to share my experience! Thank you so much for watching! :)

As someone with SUPER curly hair I just wanna say that this was so pretty and I think it came out great!! Having wavy or curly hair definitely requires experimenting and trying out different things and you are doing great! I know its alot of work and some days I just wanna shave my head bald but when the curls bounce just right it makes it worth it, if you like the way it looks and feel motivated to continue I think that would be great! Eventually you will find the products and styles that work for you and you will get a little routine going and it can actually end up being really therapeutic!

Definitely worth it. You just need to improve your technique a bit, but it already looks great. It takes time. I've been curly now since April 2020 and my hair looked AWFUL in the beginning (but I also had a lot of damage then too.) You starting off on freshly grown out hair is great. Just remember to get trims every so often. And yes people love to gatekeep curly hair for some reason. For reference I have 2C/3A and Ive gotten the "your hair isn't curly" Textured hair is textured hair and it covers all types of curls: coily, curly and wavy. Just ignore that crowd. And actually using mousse and gel together is not counterproductive at all! It's a great way to add some more hold for a longer lasting wash day. Remember not to just use sulfate free shampoos though. I really like Twist by Ouidad "Hit Reset Light Clarifying" shampoo. I have coarse, medium density, medium porosity so it's really good to clear away the build up so your hair doesn't get weighed down. Also I really love the Aveda leave in (pink bottle) it's super lightweight and adds heat and UV protection. And a diffuser is an absolute must. My hair takes like 6-8 hours to dry and I hate keeping my scalp wet for long periods of time. I definitely think you should keep at it! It looks beautiful and gets even better with time

As a guy with natural curly hair, I can't really tell you if it is curly hair or not 😅It looks like curly hair, but I can't be sure. It's weird seeing people attempt to get curly hair, since at times, it can be hard to wash and deal with especially if you have extremely thick curly hair which I think I have. But I think it's cool, and I think that your hair came out good :) I wish I could explain my personnal experiences with curly hair, but I'm not that well-versed in how it works or how to achieve it since mine is genetic and I don't know much about hair 😅 Great video BTW :)
