great to see that overall across so many tests battery degradation is much less than people feared - buying a used EV should be an easier choice. Even the iPace that was not very efficient nor updated very well can be relied on longer term.

If Jaguar would release updates to the model it would be super great

Love to see this beast of a car in this useful test. Not bad degradation, especially consider how much those cost nowadays. Performance, luxury and looks is still very strong for I-Pace.

It started throttling at 39% because battery was too hot - coolant out was 60C😮

The iPace is a gorgeous car. Too expensive and ruined by a dodgy battery. I have met several owners who absolutely love them. If only Jaguar had developed them further.

Thank you for the Test.
With my I-Pace 2020, I charged faster with switching on the hazard lights before plug-in. 😊

Its better infotainment system from 21 modell.
You should test my ipace, its on 310k km

There is 2 different SOH that you can get out of the OBD reading on the IPace : Electric vehicle (EV) battery - average State Of Health (SOH) (power fade) and Electric vehicle (EV) battery - average State Of Health (SOH) (capacity fade). The "power fade" is always at 100%, the "Capacity fade" is the correct one you want to measure. The one on the Autel diagnostic document is the "Power fade" SOH. The useless one....

I love my iPace, 2020 model, has 60k miles on the clock, I still get full range. It’s a crying shame that Jaguar did not update this car, it drives beautifully.

Eqc is 4 years newer. Not only the cycles degrade the battery, but also the age. Right?

Very interesting. Not a bad result in my opinion. I didn’t hear you talk about how the car was charged, did the owner keep to 80% or often go to 100%? I hope you can do more of these tests.

Should add a column to that sheet, battery type. Now that we are geting more and more LFP batteries

It scares me that it says 100% officially and 90% „in officially“. I wonder what number Jaguar would pull up if you have a warranty claim …

12:21 Given how high of a voltage 3.4V is I'm personally fairly confident you can count on those 5%, or at the very least more than a couple percent.

Very interesting test! Would be curious as to how an old MG ZS would look like nowadays! :)

Do a zero mile test with it.
I have it, it has similar % drop at the bottom of the SOC. Would love to see what happens when hiu get to zero. I don't dare try it.

I wonder what the degradation would be like if you fast charged every time? I assume this vehicle had quite a bit of rate charging at home?

Measurement of degradation in freezing temperatures would probably show much worse results, especially the increased internal resistance would be reflected by a sudden drop in performance at low SoC values. In the degradation test table you should also indicate the temperature at which the test was performed.
