I don't know what it is about this particular music... but it gives me a sense of nostalgia that I've never felt before. Even though the Elections weren't that long ago, the event was just so unexpected and amazing. The Election was LEGIT. Something that you'd see in Disney's Toontown Online it was that good. The music fit right in with the other soundtracks in Toontown, making it even better. TTR has an amazing team with very talented people.

I've been trying so hard to figure out that cadence point at 0:32. I could be wrong, but doesn't it resolve to the tonic (might be F minor, but since this is generally happy I consider it to be in A major)? What are those two previous chords?
