Using hypothetical numbers here:

Say Florida could have voting at say
15 million votes for Republicans and only 5 million votes for Democrats. Republicans win the Florida vote which may only have 5 seats.

Comparatively, Pennsylvania has 20 thousand votes for Democrat and 19 thousand votes for Republicans, then Democrats win that state which has more seats even if less voters?

Very unlikely situation but if Trump got 40 million votes in Florida and say only fifty people decided to vote in Pennsylvania, as long as 26 of those fifty votes were Democrats, then Democrats would win because they have more seats? Even though millions of people may have voted in Florida? Wow, seems, well, not right🤔

Large cities like New York City and Los Angeles should not get to unilaterally dictate policies that affect more rural states, like North Dakota and Indiana, which have very different needs. These states may be smaller, but their values still matter—they should have a say in who becomes President. By forcing presidential candidates to address all Americans during their campaigns, not just those in large cities, the Electoral College has the added benefit of eschewing radical candidates for more moderate ones.
