Fuck that dude dissing your production. Your videos are far better in quality than most, and that's not even considering the content, which also fantastic quality. Keep doing your thing, Adam.

Dude, your editing and visuals are just fine - better than most, in fact.

Haha I love how you just low-key roast misspelled comments by reading them out :D

Thanks for answering my question. And everyone please note that Adam has taught me to be careful with spelling when writing youtube comments, as he will not hesitate to pronounce exactly what you write here. I was worried that if he chose to read my question aloud that I would become another victim. Fear is a powerful motivation. So score another win for Adam, slowly taming youtube comments is certainly a tough job.

Whaa? Your editing is totally fancy enough imo, don't know what that guy was getting at.

Hi, just wanted to say that I really felt what you said about representation. There's always been people saying that we can't play as well, or don't have the creative prowess that men have. I know that's bullshit. But when there are so few women visible, you kind of start feeling like there's something to it after a while. I feel like that's something boys don't have to deal with when they dream of becoming musicians.

The treatment of women musicians is a massive problem, and as I know you're a regular over at r/bass, I know you and I have seen the same things, and that we're on the same page on this issue. The bottom line is that there are a lot of men who need to do better.

When you do get around to delving deeper into this (and I think you really should) it'd be worth touching on the treatment of women musicians in interviews. I've worked with many fantastic women musicians who go into interviews wanting to talk about their music only to be asked "What's it like being a girl in a band full of dudes? Do you get annoyed when the boys fart on the tour bus? How do you feel about your fans thinking you're hot?". It's seriously upsetting that the blokes get the music questions and the women have to field completely unrelated high school locker-room bullshit.

As a video editor, I love your editing! I can tell it takes long amounts of time, and it's great! :)

I completely relate when you talked about how exciting it is to be able to change everything that is going on just by playing a different note. It is definetly one of the things I enjoy the most about bass playing.

Awesome videos! Thanks and greetings from Panamá!

I love the way Adam's videos are edited and put together, that's a big part of their appeal to me. It is in perfect harmony (groan) with Adam's sense of humour, the videos are fun, and fun and humour are great ways to aid learning, so....leave the videos the way they are!

I don't know why you feel the need to apologize for your video editing skills, your videos are the bomb, and very well-paced and scripted. Not only do you explore topics that make my synapses tingle, you also HELP the hapless peanut gallery with good useful tools. To wit: that 'good book' you recommend is one that I have been quite literally searching in vain for since 1986, right after I returned it to the guy who loaned it to me between my first an second guitar lessons. Seriously, if you knew how many times I'd explained "It's not very big, written in like the 60s and published by some obscure company, it concerns harmony and it's really well-written" to the staff of book and music stores. I'm having an Inigo Montoya moment right now. Thanks a million.

Your videos are great the way they are, Adam. In fact, I'm always blown away by your editing skills. I'd never be able to do what you do. So you have no need to apologize here!!

To add to the Women in Music section here:

Can you add a brief list in a future Q & A of female composers/musicians for those who want(/absolutely need) to explore?

Absolutely hit the nail on the head with the "Why did you start playing bass?" Question.

My experience was very much the same except I was 25 and very drunk at the time of agreed to join the band.

Two years later I don't regret it one bit and I love the instrument, the appreciation of the application of it's time and the way it fits in the band and spend a lot of my free time either practicing or watching videos like this.

Keep up the great work Adam I always enjoy your videos.

One question for the Q&A is, I play a bass almost identical to yours (non intentional actually, just pure coincidence, sunburst rather than black and I notice you have a unique set of pickups) and the question could probably be answered by Google or several forums but since you do Q&A and I'd love to be featured, why is it referred to as a Mexican P Bass? Fender aren't a Mexican company, have they outsourced production in the Americas to Mexico or something?

Adam please continue these videos regularly. I don't want to sound like i'm forcing anything on you but I must say that these are extremely helpful. I'm in high school and trying to learn as much as I can about music (I am interested in becoming a composer). I have found that your channel has answered a lot of my questions that so many people seem to just dance around. You give a straight answer and I find it so helpful. Basically you have the knowledge I might have in 6 or so years and learning all these things is very valuable to me. Thanks man keep it up!

I honestly didn't like your channel at first, but it kept popping up in my feed and now it's my favorite music channel. Thanks for putting as much work and passion into your work, very inspiring.
