I got mine in May. I really like the GV70 a lot. It's very comfortable, and it's great to be in an electric vehicle. I'll admit, I'm also very much a Genesis fan since I've been getting them since they first came on the market. My biggest gripe is the range, and I wish I knew if there was something that I could do about that. I was in Orlando and had a 100% charge. I was driving home which is ~180 miles away. I was going around 79 MPH in ECO mode with the A/C on circulating set to 71, with the outside temperature being in the 90's. Through the drive there was about a 5 mile difference between me getting home and how much range was showing. I ended up stopping for a quick 5-10 minute charge just to make sure I could get home. I'm just not sure what I could have done differently to feel like I could have comfortably got home without hoping that I'd get home with 5 miles of range to spare.

Kyle watching the charging speed is like a gambler watching a slot machine results.

I love Alyssa’s comment to the “Charging Gun” statement. “Where? In Texas?”

It's been 8 months, time to try that range test again, Kyle!

100% agree with DCFC charge points missing in a Nav system. My Mach-E is missing a good chunk of the IVY network chargers on one of our major highways - and they are they only charging network at the Government rest stops. Working DCFC is not just a problem, DATA is also a problem.

The EPA range on the GV 70 is 236 miles for the advanced trim

The inefficiency would be a deal breaker for me. We replaced our Honda CRV with a BMW i4 e40 that holds just about all the biggest loads we carry. Driving 11, 000 miles from October through May the average efficiency has been 3.7 mi/kWh. Our longest round trips are in the 100 to 200 mile range, which the i4 manages even in winter while keeping SOC 80-20%.

If navigation craps out on you with battery pre-heating, there's always the option of manually activating this feature 10-15 minutes before you reach a charger, through the infotainment system.

Getting mine next Thursday, can't wait!

Nice to know the technical name of the charging connector.

Why is no one talking about this EV?
-- It's NOT a from the ground up EV, like their E-GMP 800v platform.
-- You have to go through a dealer and all their markups to get it.
-- It only has a 77.4kw battery for a large, heavy car.
-- And it's $74, 000, and that's before a dealer gets through with it. You can get a Rivian for that, and you get to keep whatever rebate it has, rather than most, if not all, of it going to a dealer.

Not eligible for the $7500 tax credit even though assembled in Alabama. Battery components do not meet the requirements. However, Genesis is giving a $7500 "rebate savings" on a lease. We got ours on 5/1 and think it is great bang for the buck. It is replacing our 2019 e-tron.

Car and Driver just posted their 75 MPH range test... 190 miles. Brutal.

Also, it seems that the GV70 ELECTRIC is not going to qualify for the IRA. Can you please confirm?

I had a Genesis dealer offer me $7500 off of the MSRP on a lease in print. I drove by the SK Battery America plant in Commerce Georgia and right out front was the South Korean flag so standby for where the pack comes from next. 21:21

Yeah because the greedy dealers all want markup

Front charge port location should enable taking only one stall when Tesla opens up to Genesis 4Q24.

"This is a car for you guys who love charging!". Why would anyone love charging? Such an odd thing. We love driving. I don't think I ever met anyone who said "I love going to Shell gas stations and fueling up"
