IT BEGINS! The Truck Market CRASH Of 2024

The truck market is falling off a cliff. Chevy has discounts on almost every new truck. RAM is offering up to 20% off MSRP. Ford is still loaded up with 2023 model trucks. And Toyota is overflowing with 2024 Tundras. The truck market crash of 2024 has just started and the market has already taken a massive dive. Dealers are hurting after a slow month of sales in January and after all the price gouging from dealers the past few years, Truck prices are finally starting to fall. This could be a huge win for truck buyers in 2024 So in this video I'm going to RAM, Toyota, Ford, Nissan (RIP Titan!) and Chevy to see what prices are like, how much inventory they have, and if there are any discounts that make buying a new truck right now... actually worth it!
(i also bought a truck, so If you stay to the end, you'll might just see something really cool)

Check out the truck I just bought!
And my list of used trucks that are cheap to buy and maintain!

Increase the price by 35%, than discount it 20% and call it a steal. Sales 101. 🤣

Even with the 20% off it’s still a $60k truck which is insane. I’ll wait thanks

I can’t imagine spending 70k on a vehicle. I can’t be the only person that doesn’t want a heated steering wheel, bidet, and a 50” tv in my commuter.

I work at the largest dodge/jeep/ram/fiat dealer in the state of iowa. I work in the collision center and we had a big dealership meeting where the gm said they had 55 million dollars in new inventory and are paying 7% interest on them and how they need to sell them hahahaha. Then they sent salesman to go around to all the other employees to try and sell us new vehicles, i straight up told told the salesman if they took 30k off the trucks maybe I’d consider buying one. I remember before covid you could get into a brand new ram crew cab 4x4 for 40-50k now they are 70k+ just 3 years later no wonder they can’t sell shit

The crumbs that they now refer to as discounts are nothing compared to the previous markups that are now the new MSRP.

The problem with those trucks is that even with a 20% they still 50% OVERPRICED !! 😂

Remember when you could buy a new truck for under $40k with a decent trim? Hell you could get used trucks with 40, 000 miles for like $18k only 5-6 years ago.

50k for a base model F-150 is absurd. That stx should MAX be 32k brand new. I remember back in 2018 when you could pick up a brand new lariat for 36k

I believe the manufacturers would have far less problems selling if they just offered basic trucks without all the frills and a price to reflect it. Sometimes, you just got to get back to basics.

Dealers keep their metal and I’ll keep my greens. It’s all fair games

Insane prices... The option I love the most on my current truck... "No Payments".

This channel comes across my feed with essentially the exact same video title every couple months. It’s been like a year - still 5 figure markups.

I still suffer from sticker shock. My first pickup truck was a seven year old GMC I bought from the GMC dealer used lot. It cost $550. This was paid for with a job at the time that paid twice the minimum wage so I bought the truck with six paychecks. I bought a car around the same time, a seven year old car for seven paychecks. You can understand why I have sticker shock. I miss those times.

Knock off at least 50% on the MSRP and I may head to a dealership for a new truck.

I was thinking about buying the TRX, but I decided to buy a small mountain cabin instead. 🤪

Remember when the Maverick came out 3 years ago it MSRP started at 20k for base and capped out at 25K for the Lariat? Now a Maverick XLT is in the 31k range

$125, 000 for a Pickup Truck? I only paid $90, 000 for my house & it has 3 Bedrooms, 2 bathrooms & a 2-Car Garage.

I've put around $4000 into a loaded 2003 GMC 1500HD w/ 120, 000 miles over the past 2 years. I wouldn't even had considered that just a few years ago. It's a no-brainer in today's truck market. Add a Bluetooth/Android Auto stereo w/ a backup cam for $300, replace some failing pieces inside and out, tune up the 6.0L and keep on going.

At this point i dont want any electronics in the truck. Bring back roll up windows and door locks. Keep the radio ans speakers. Only electronics i need is heat and lights. call it the f2cheap. Model bearbones
