You have totally missed the most important point. It is not the food or the diet. In two words: it is "community support". People are surrounded by friends, genuine authentic long-term friends who will be there for you to support you whenever you need them; not superficial acquaintances good for small talk only.

Just watched a video on the two areas of Sardinia where this Blue Zone is. It’s more the lifestyle, which is rural, and the community/family closeness than the healthy food that contribute to long life. No processed food, all natural. The food is important, but it is only two areas of Sardinia that are in the Blue Zone. The pace of life is slow, and they like it that way.

This is literally how I eat!! They even got the red wine tea coffee right. 😂 I love Kale and sweet potato especially. Roast it in the oven with chayenne pepper and tumeric.👌 Salmon and eggs on rare occasions. No dairy.

The world should know more about horta, Greeks go to the nature and collect edible weeds, boil them, strain them and serve them with olive oil lemon juice and salt. yummy. it's basically medicinal herbs as food.

The blue zones are in tropical, very warm climates. They have longer growing or endless growing seasons.

Of note is that Loma Linda, California is one of the most expensive places to live in the US. People with a lot of money can eat a healthier diet and because of their wealth do not the have money problems many others do.

The basic principals of diet is takes everything you like but in moderation. And most important is eat only when you hungry.

This is so true! I am in the UK and I have noticed around where I go, everything is just so processed! You can't buy one single thing that is "pure" without having a filler like "wheat" when it's pre-made. America is the same, they have so many fast food joints where people just eat rubbish food. It's better to have a whole foods diet and less dairy and less meat. I stopped drinking last year and feel so much better, my skin has improved and my health all around. The only thing is, is my sweet tooth craving and I find that's the only thing that's hard to give up. So at the moment I am only eating Carob chocolate bars with no added sugars. I have two books on the Blue Zone Diet I will read one of them tonight! who knows I may do a vlog on it lol

These two women are still believers in a low carb diet. Amazing. They are preaching the blue zone diet but keep saying “ If you are low carb, you would eliminate the beans in fact you would get rid of most of this food”.
