I think the Air is a good middle-ground between the basic models and the pro models

I still don’t get why everyone says not to get the Air when first of all, I barely use 64 GB, let alone 128 or 256 GB and second of all, $200 extra for features I will barely notice or use would just be a waste of money in my point of view. That extra $200 I saved nabbed me the Apple Pencil, a USB hub, and a 128GB USB stick to backup my Procreate projects and pictures and I still had some change to spare after those purchases. Honestly, I think I got a better deal with the Air when I have to consider the other stuff I would like to have along with it.

I was hesitant between the Pro and Air earlier this year and went for the Air + Pencil.
As a student I’m definitely satisfied with my purchase as the few differences I cared about (120Hz, smaller bezels, Face id, quad speaker) ended up not mattering at all for everyday use.
Touch id is arguably better because of face masks + you don’t have to move your head when it’s flat on a table.
The pencil works perfectly fine with a 60 Hz refresh rate for taking notes and the dual speakers have good enough quality for enjoying a movie or youtube.

This is why u shouldn't fully trust a tech YouTuber, who always has the latest and greatest tech in his office. Doesn't matter to everyone.
Not recommending the iPad Air 4 is totally wrong. Because it applies to people who want a modern design, but save about 200 dollars to buy something else, say an Apple Pencil.
Saving 200 dollars matters a lot for people specially when ur spending almost 600 for the Air. Most people don't care about the "Pro" features on the iPad Pro because there isn't any apps which are capable of taking full advantage.

Still using a iPad 6th generation with 32gb and it is doing such a great job even with less storage and with a "weaker" processor but as a student the iPad Air 4 looks perfect for me in order to take my notes

Here my verdict on each iPad:
10.2 inch:
Good in general for the price and would last you 2-3 years and shouldn’t cause any problems

Mini:
Good for digital books and portability and for kids and storage for stuff but not worth it especially when the 10.2 inch is here

Air: good middle ground and for the colorful and should be god for 3-5 years with the A14 chip

Pro: it’s for the pros

Big pro: overkill for the true pros

Professionally I carry around an Ipad Mini 5 which I use to take notes, view drawings, scan documents and take basic images. I also fly drones, for recreation and for business, and use it there as well. With a full screen design, brighter display (600-800 nits), maybe a processor bump and the same footprint, I think it would be the perfect device for many field professionals.

I considered the air but you’re right for 200 more dollars to get all the extras is really worth it. I’m very happy with the 11 inch iPad Pro. The 10% military discount also helped make up my mind.

i dont get why the ipad air 4is so “bad”. i have the ipad air 4 and its amazing. as a student its really nice and it isnt even that expensive

I love my iPad mini! It's perfect for e-books and for doing light office work while on the go. Plus they do make some great keyboard cases for it. I'm a minority on that frontier but anything that I'd use a more powerful iPad for...I'm just going to whip out my laptop. But their assessment for the mass public; is spot on. Great reviews every time; love watching them!
