If you'll die your online friends won't know you died, they'll just wonder why you never got online.

As someone who had plenty of run ins with wild boars (I think more than 10 because I love hiking and foraging and see them a lot) if you pay attention you hear them very early. They are LOUD. They trample, rub on trees, they grunt, they dig. It's hard to not hear them. If you see them, staying silent and letting them pass worked for me most of the times. One time I was surprised by two of them. Heard a sudden Crack next to me in the woods while picking brambles. I saw them and immediately jumped into the thick thorns, there was no tree to climb. The thorns were about as tall as me and thick as a wall. And I got badly scratched up for no reason because boars were just as spooked by me and ran in the opposite direction.

Very rarely a boar charges at you. They often smell you before you see them.
They are defensive when they have babies. So be aware of their seasons and when you see a big group.. stay silent. Let them pass.

*Wild Boars* : How to survive a hunter attack?

Imagine your being attacked by a boar, and your watching this to see how to survive 😂

As a hunter who has been charged twice by wild boars. Stay in shape, learn some juke moves, make sure you have a tree to climb. I’ve walked up one in the dark and never even knew he was there. A lone boar doesn’t make a lot of noise unlike a group. Good luck.

Basically either you need a tree to climb or weapon to hurt the boar, or else you are done.

A lot of people don’t realise how dangerous they are...they’re as much of threat physically as a lion or croc even though they’re not hunters. On size, strength and speed alone...they’ll break you in two

Always wear a sidearm when ever you go hunting or just for a walk in any wooded area.

When living in Hawaii as a 12 year old over at Hana on the island of Maui. I was attacked by a wildboar. It was insanely huge. Easily over 300lbs. I just let it chase me uphill on a steep slope then gave it an *epic* boot to da head! Did it about several times until it came around the cliff side. As it came charging up at me from shallower side. I stepped aside and nailed em in the ribs. The wildboar broke its legs and its neck as it rolled downhill then off the cliff then into the water into Hana Bay. My family ate like kings for a week. Had enough for Pot Roast with potatoes. Pork adobo with boiled eggs & potatoes. Kalua pig sandwiches for school. Fried Sweet Bread and sour poi. A nice big pot of Dulan Duran (pigs blood stew with entrails) and watercress bone marrow soup. I even turned the pigs head into dice. Never been bothered by wildboar since.... 🐖+🔥=👍😁🍖🍲

Wild boars are known for three things.
They're the aggressive cousin of the appetizing domestic pig,
They're lightning fast and
They have unimaginable strength.

Good advice. As for the Komodo Dragon, I really don't expect to be seeing one of those things in this lifetime.

Narrator: boars look similar to a domestic pig.
Pumbaa: who are you calling a pig?
Simba and Timon: Pumbaa you are a pig.

I'm here after running into a wild boar in the middle of a city center. I backed away slowly and am pretty sure it didn't notice me. These tips are great in case you don't get that lucky though

i was out metal detecting and got cornered in a field by a full grown male wild boar. It was already cross because a tractor had startled it. Over the fence were three dobermans owned by the farmer. It took a nano-second for me to decide that diving over the fence was the best option. A lot of growling and barking ensued....but i felt a lot safer and left the farmer's field without any collateral damage. Always pick your battles.
