I knew it was gonna be vinegar and baking soda. A granny classic right there

I just followed the instructions from the video and it was like magic! The odor is gone but I have to add that I put the rug outside in the sun for 24 hours after applying the vinegar and the baking soda.

My mother in law's cat decided to start spraying ALL OVER our brand new fabric loosely-woven sofa, ALL 6 of the gigantic heavy quilts we had over the sofa to keep it from getting scratched up, AND ALL OVER ALLL of my husband's amplifiers, speakers, and instrument cases in the living room. We just had a baby and the cat I think feels threatened. Oh, did I mention he also has peed OVER our original 90 yr old hardwood floors ? This has become a daily thing. I don't think there's enough vinegar, peroxide and baking soda to get rid of this smell. 😒😒😒 our pee zone is the entire house now. Excluding my bedroom and the nursery. Fml. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ I love ur voice. It's so sweet and calming. ❤❤❤❤

It’s will smell amazing until a humid day when the uric acid recrystalizes and the smell comes right back. An enzyme cleaner is the only thing that will get rid if it for good. I don’t know how people deal with cat pee smell. It’s literally the worst!

Be careful not to mix vinegar and hydrogen peroxide together. Since you are neutrslizing it with the baking soda it's fine but if you mix the two before had you will create peracitic acid and that's significantly for corrosive than household vinegar.

At the end of the video I wanted her to say, Aaaand it still smells like piss.”

There is absolutely NOTHING that will permanently get rid of cat piss. All you need is a humid day to realize that.

Very helpful video, thank you for sharing.
But guys don't forget DON'T MIX peroxide and vinegar together! This can create a DANGEROUS ACID that can HARM you and/or your pets.
Just be careful and stay safe.

My indoor cat was super angry and territorial about a stray cat who used to hang around the front door. She started peeing up against the wall and it ran down the wall into the carpet. We called it 'cat piss corner'. We cleaned the carpet but couldn't get the smell out. Moral of the story is, you can't just clean the carpet, you have to pull the carpet and clean the pad as well. Our 1920's hard woods were ruined there. We had to strip that area. Re-sand and re-stain. We ended up cutting out the corner of the pad and replaced it. She didn't do it anymore, and we put up a gate on the front porch to keep it out.

AMAZING It worked PERFECTLY. One of my cats peed on the arm of my upholstered chair😩 I wish I would’ve come across this video sooner. I’ve been dealing with this problem for three years now as I have five cats and two of them just can’t seem to get it together. Lol. 🙄 THANK YOU!!!!

Can the baking soda be dissolved into water to reach further down, or would mixing baking soda with water ruin its cleaning abilities?

Hows that work washing my rugs? Put all 4 in my washer? We have rugs. When we bought the house it had carpet. After the hurricane hit we only placed down poreslian tile. We only flooded that once since 6 yrs ago.

Why put the baking soda on right after the vinegar? The baking soda neutralizes the vinegar, leaving water behjnd, so you wont get any more action from the vinegar once you apply the baking soda. Better to leave the vinegar on overnight then neutralize with baking soda the next day, then add the hydrogen peroxide and peave that overnight as well

This literally never works. One of my cats decided to pee on a rug in my dining room. I did this entire combo. They peed over it again. I did the combo again, even covered it with tin foil thinking the cats would not step on it. Nope, they stepped on it and peed on the tin foil and when I picked it up, they peed on the carpet again. Even tried enzyme cleaners and it didn't help. Eventually, had to throw away a wonderful $500 carpet. But I couldn't take it anymore.

I mean, it'll smell amazing to us, but will it get rid of the smell enough for the cat so it doesn't smell it? I don't trust my sense of smell as it is, but if my cat still smells the urine there, it's going to keep using that spot
