How did Padme hide her pregnancy? A senator and a Jedi having a child would have been a major scandal, especially during the Clone Wars. The only option Padme had was to keep this secret from the galaxy.

In the novelization for "Revenge of the Sith," we learn how she managed to do this. Her intention was to give birth in a secluded part of Naboo, with as few witnesses as possible. Also, she went from wearing tight outfits to oversized, loose dresses. She also has purposefully cut back on her staff in the later stages of her pregnancy, so there are fewer assistants, handmaidens, and security guards around.

People (regular citizens) probably just thought she had a fling with someone. Maybe she had a private relationship she kept from the public. The real secret that she needs to keep is that Anakin is the father.

I always thought she didn't bother to hide it and merely kept that fact that Anakin was the father a secret.

She didn’t. Obi-won knew, the senators must of known, and then at her funeral her big pregnant belly was still pushed up as if she had not given birth. They didn’t even try to hide it but instead used it to fake the Children’s deaths as well. Anyone who was at the funeral would of had their suspicions confirmed. The thing is only Obiwon and Ashoka knew it… that they were Anakin’s children.

Also, her sister was a single mother by choice and likely had her 2 daughters from a sperm donor (unless they have some other spacy way to do it). I don't remember what book it was, but she planned to tell people that's what she did. It's very common on Naboo

Would've made more sense to just say she didn't hide the pregnancy, she just didn't say who the father was and the culture of Naboo and the Galactic Senate was polite enough not to ask.

I like to think in this super-advanced futuristic* society Padme took medicine to condense her embryo for the first few months of the pregnancy so her baby bump was a lot less notice-able, which would help explain why Padme goes from a relatively normal slim figure at the "Ani, I'm pregnant." scene to full on ninth month towards the end of the film.

I'm sure some star wars equivalent of a redditor found footage of anakin and padme arguing like a old married couple in the middle of the senate building in clone wars season 6, plus about a dozen moncalamari soldiers would have seen them together in that season 4 arch were they went to mon cala after the king was assassinated.
